What is Theater Advertising?
All Theatre advertisements show on our giant screen for multiple 5 second durations! Ads will begin Fifteen (15) minutes before each show time. Your advertisement on the big screen – followed by other local business looking to get their message out. In addition to advertisements, the Varsity Theatre will include landmark photos of Chapel Hill and classic movie images to offset the advertisements and let moviegoers enjoy the slide show as they come into the theater and get ready for the movie to start. The slideshow runs repeatedly for the entire fifteen minutes and is accompanied by the theater music playing in the back ground.
What types of Advertisements are Shown?
Area businesses that are looking to increase the awareness to customers that come downtown to see a movie. It’s a great opportunity to let movie goers know where to get something to eat or customers that will realize that a service or product may be purchased locally.
What are the Costs to Create and Run the Advertisement?
Using our projection display and digital system, building the advertising is simple and cheap. Just provide a JPEG, which is easily converted from almost any digital format (Or print ad that can be captured with a digital camera). Once the advertisement or business logo is in the format of a JPEG, it can be used in the advertising rotation.
The cost is very affordable. The Varsity will run advertisements for $90.00 per month (that’s $3.00 per day - including weekends!) and will be run at 32 – 36 shows per week. The Varsity Theatre can also have your business cards or flyers available for anyone seeking more information about your products or services after viewing the advertisement. Given the time between movies and the advertising time allocated, The Varsity Theatre will limit the advertisers in a rotation. Advertising JPEGs may be changed on a weekly basis (Friday).
